Razorback fans of and visitors to the University of Arkansas have the opportunity to attend sporting events year-round, as the school currently fields 19 total varsity teams — eight men’s and 11 women’s — in 11 sports. The men’s varsity sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and of course, football; the women’s varsity sports include basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, indoor and outdoor track and field, swimming and diving, tennis, softball and volleyball.

Our picturesque town of Fayetteville will host the 2021 Spartan Trail US Championship, the foundation of the long-term vision Spartan has for its trail business. Four distances in total, with two championship distances that will split a prize purse of over $12,000.

There’s that colorful old saying, “If you can’t run with the big dogs, stay on the porch,” but in this particular case, you can play with the big dogs if you’re willing to leave the porch and head to the volleyball court! Ozark Volleyball Club, an adult volleyball club for players at all skill levels, is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and will be hosting the Big Dog 2021 doubles volleyball tourney for both men and women. The purse is a hefty $8,000 and there are both “Open” and “A” divisions. Cash and prizes will go to first, second and third place teams in the “Open” division; cash will be awarded to the first-place team and prizes to the second-place team in the “A” division.

The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s basketball team is ready to start its 2020-21 season, which kicks off Thanksgiving week at Bud Walton Arena. Head Coach Mike Neighbors’ squad went 24-8 last year with a 10-6 SEC record, and this year they have a 10-game non-conference schedule followed by its SEC schedule that begins New Year’s Eve against Kentucky.
