The Fayetteville Mardi Gras Parade is making a triumphant return to the streets of Fayetteville in celebration of its 30th anniversary! Save the date for the annual Fat Saturday Parade of Fools, marching through downtown on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Dust off your Mardi Gras best and gather your Krewe, floats and beads! After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the family-friendly traditional Parade of Fools will once again kick off the Mardi Gras celebration in Fayetteville, AR. The parade will begin at 2:00pm on the Historic Downtown Square and then head down Block Avenue and Dickson Street.

The King and Queen of Fayetteville Mardi Gras this year will be Michelle Hale & Jon Rose of the Krewe of Barkus. While the Grand Marshal for the 2023 Parade of Fools has not yet been announced, we do know who will be there: Krewes and paraders with an abundance of costumes, floats, and multicolor beads!

Mardi Gras has been celebrated in downtown Fayetteville with Fat Tuesday on Dickson Street for at least 30 years! Within a decade, the Fat Saturday Parade of Fools became tradition, now rolling every year on the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. This year, Fat Tuesday festivities will take place on February 21.
