Firefly Fling
Event date: 2022-07-16

Firefly Fling, one of Fayetteville's most anticipated summer outings, returns to the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks on Saturday, July 16 from 5:00 - 10:00pm. Come dressed as your favorite fairy, superhero, magical or woodland creature and experience a magical night of fun for the whole family!

Before dark, community groups will gather to offer engaging and fun activities including fairy house building, nature stations, face painting, giant bubbles, an obstacle course, crafts, and more! There will also be pony rides, a live mermaid, pirate, and unicorn, plus butterfly stilt walkers fluttering throughout the Garden.

Once the sun begins to set, gather on the Great Lawn for whimsical glow-in-the-dark performances and live music by Katie Dwyer, the Melody Pond Band, and JukeBoxx, followed by fire dancing and a laser show!

Firefly Fling Stage Schedule:

5:00pm - Cellist Auralai will play under the arbor
5:45pm - Jennifer Brinkley will have a story time featuring live animals for the littlest fireflies
6:30pm - Children’s musician Katie Dwyer will perform an interactive concert for kids
7:45pm - Live performance by the Melody Pond Band
8:45pm - Music on the arbor stage by JukeBoxx

Local toy retailer Kindness & Joy Toys will hold a Firefly Shoppe presale Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15 at their location at 100 E. Joyce Boulevard in Fayetteville.

There will be food trucks on site, but guests also have the option to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics. This event will be held rain or shine, so come prepared! The BGO does not permit any glass, smoking, vaping or firearms inside the garden and kindly asks guests to leave pets at home.
