The festive and fun holiday race is returning to Fayetteville for a fifth year! The aptly-named White Elephant 5K race will take place in downtown Fayetteville on Saturday, December 13th. Holiday themed attire is welcomed, the tackier and uglier the better!
The race, hosted by Fayetteville Parks, Natural Resources, and Cultural Affairs, kicks off on the Downtown Square at 8:00am!
No matter their distance or speed, participants will be greeted by some iconic Fayetteville landmarks! The road race utilizes the city streets, taking participants past the Square, Old Main, The Ramble, and Dickson Street. If you know Fayetteville, you know that means racers are in for a hilly one! The festive 5K and 1-mile races will feature appearances by the Lights of the Ozarks, hot cocoa and holiday music, plus some classic “White Elephant” surprises. You can never be sure what you’re going to get!
Registration is open online, with fees varying from $10-$30. All 5K finishers will receive a finisher medal. 5K Awards will be given to the top three overall individuals and to the top three overall age group finishers. All 1 mile fun run participants will receive a finisher item. All participants will be given a chance to high-five Santa himself at the finish line!
Lights of the Ozarks, holiday music, hot cocoa and "White Elephant" gifts! These 5K and 1 Mile road races (run/walk) are sure to be jolly.
