The annual Ladies Du, a unique multi-sport race experience for women & women-aligned athletes, is returning to Fayetteville for another year of competition on Saturday, June 8, 2024! The duathlon kicks off at 7:00am at the Lake Fayetteville Marina.
Women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming athletes are invited to participate in the Du, hosted each year by the Fayetteville Parks & Recreation Department. This sprint style duathlon consists of a 2-mile run/11-mile bike/2-mile run format around gorgeous Lake Fayetteville.
The Ladies Du Fayetteville will utilize the paved trails in the Lake Fayetteville area, starting and ending from the Lake Fayetteville Marina. The run course is an out and back on Clear Creek Trail. There will be a water station at the turnaround point. The bike course is two laps (clockwise) around the lake on the Lake Fayetteville Trail.
Registration is open now through June 6th and includes an athletic (sleeveless) top, finisher medal, electronic chip timing, and photo downloads after the race! Race options include individual, 2-person relay, and 3-person relay. Awards will be provided to the top three finishers in each age group as well as the overall top three individuals and relay teams.
Options for registration at "the Du" are:
- Individual
- 2-Person Relay: 1 runner, 1 cyclist
- 2-Person Relay: 1 runner/cyclist, 1 cyclist/runner, splitting the bike distance equally
- 3-Person Relay: 2 runners, 1 cyclist
Online registration will close at 12pm on Thursday, June 6. In-person registration is available at Packet Pick Up on Friday evening.
