Chefs in the Garden

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is thrilled to announce the return of its signature spring fundraiser, Chefs in the Garden, now in its 16th year! This highly anticipated event will take place on Tuesday, May 21, from 5:00 to 8:30 pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Garden while listening to live music, sipping on local libations, and sampling a diverse selection of sweet and savory culinary creations from the area’s finest chefs. This is the perfect chance to get a taste of Northwest Arkansas in just one night!

Tickets are $120 for general admission, with a $20 discount available for BGO members. Tickets cover all food and drink for the evening and can be purchased at bgozarks.org. Proceeds from the event will support the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, with a portion of each ticket sale benefiting the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.

This event is for guests aged 21 and up and will take place rain or shine.

Full Moon Forest Bathing Adventure on Mount Sequoyah

Enjoy a spring evening bathing in magic on the mountaintop. Join Forest Therapy Guide Emmie Brenzel for a slow wander around Mount Sequoyah during the evening hours, soaking in twilight, sunset, and later a rising full “Flower Moon.”

Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of “Forest Bathing” or Shinrin-Yoku, an evidenced based wholistic practice which uses immersion in natural environments to enhance health and wellness. Participants will be invited to connect with nature, awaken their senses, and activate their imaginations. There will be opportunities for silence, observation, listening, and optional group sharing.

This adventure concludes with a tea ceremony. Please dress for the weather with layers recommended, keeping in mind that temperatures will feel cool when seated, moving slowly, or as sunset approaches. Walks will be limited to fifteen participants.

Dragon Moon Hike

Join us for a casual, 2 mile out-and-back hike on the Yellow Rock Loop at Devil's Den State Park, to enjoy the light of the full moon! We will be taking this hike nice and easy, to accommodate anyone who has any interest in experiencing this well-known trail at night, as well as relaxing at the overlook to enjoy the night sky. The trail is frequently traveled, well maintained, and rated as easy to moderate. There are multiple rocky sections, cliff ledges, steep inclines, and uneven surfaces. Grab your headlamp and join us for an after-dark hike!

When: May 22, 8:30 pm. We will be leaving from the North parking lot at Pack Rat AT 8:30pm. Please arrive early!

Weekend Starts Series

An art-infused series of Friday evening “compact creativity festivals” that will take place in the Lower Ramble. Kick off the weekend with a burst of creativity and fun! The WEST series is being held in conjunction with the University of Arkansas Department of Music.

Music performers will celebrate the musical diversity found at the university. Concerts will feature jazz trios, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music, Ozark ballads, classical ensembles, rock songs, medieval music and more!

Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere where they can unwind after a busy work week, enjoy strolling through the beautiful natural area and engage with their local arts community.

Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the performances and stay awhile. Arriving via the Razorback Greenway is encouraged, but parking is available at the Fayetteville Public Library’s south surface parking lot, as well as on-street parking along West Ave.

The series is free, open to the public and all ages are welcome.

Walk & Talk at the Evergreen Cemetery

Participants will meet at the Evergreen Cemetery for a history tour led by Marilyn Heifner. Please wear outdoor walking shoes as there may be uneven terrain.

Presenter Marilyn Heifner will lead a walking tour on-site at the Evergreen Cemetery located at William and University Streets in Fayetteville. Attendees will meet at the cemetery, and the tour will last approximately 1.5 hrs.

Adam Driver is having a Glass Showcase, here on May 25th from 1pm - 6pm and we couldn’t be more excited!
Adam is a local community staple with a huge fan base. He has over 26 years of glassblowing experience and has left a positive impact on many aspiring glassblowers, peers, collectors, friends, family, and more!

It’s easy to get inspired by Adam, especially when you see his passion for the art and things that matter to him most.
He will be bringing a selection of beautiful glass ranging from his signature inside-out style, yellow submarines, rigs, and more! This personable showcase will allow collectors and customers to get first dibs by meeting Adam and supporting him directly.

We can’t wait to see you there! If you want to see some beautifully unique glassware, this is an event you do not want to miss.

Come hang out with Adam and let’s talk about glass! This is a functional art show.

Calling all Pugs! Pug Paw-ty!

Calling all Pugs (and Pug mixes)! We are having a Pug party at Good Dog Cafe from 3:00-4:30! Bring your Pugs to romp in the park and make some new friends!
We will be closed to the public so that only Pugs (& Pug mixes) can attend this event.
A limited food & drink menu will be available during the entire event.
Event may be postponed if the weather doesn't cooperate.
Admission for this special event is $12 per dog and a waiver must be signed before entering the park. Dogs must meet our off-leash park requirements.
We do not allow children under 12 in the off-leash park, but they are welcome in the leashed area.

Please make sure that all dogs are healthy before attending event.
