Art enthusiasts in Fayetteville should make sure to see “Shared Experiences,” an exhibit by the NWA Black Artists Collective, which is being held at The Artist’s Laboratory Theatre, located at 1030 S. College Ave. The art exhibit highlights the experience of black and African-American individuals in Northwest Arkansas. It includes works by artists Veronica Huff, Madison Moon, Raven Cook and Cory Perry, the exhibit’s producer.

Fayetteville’s first tattoo and art expo, Ink & Art in the Ozarks, will take place September 28-30 at Fayetteville Town Center. Presented by Colours Couture and Inked Magazine, the event is an addition to the 2018 Bikes, Blues & BBQ festival schedule.

Fayetteville has a rich performing arts community featuring both local acts and internationally known touring productions throughout the year. Experience Fayetteville presents Winter Solstice Art Action on the first day of winter, Thursday, December 21, at the Historic Walker Stone house in downtown Fayetteville. The festivities will go from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Walker Stone House but the fun will continue into the night with several galleries and studios remaining open late into the evening.

Fayetteville has long been the artistic epicenter of Northwest Arkansas, thanks in large part to the University of Arkansas, which — as the state’s oldest and largest public college campus — has influenced Arkansas culture since its founding in 1871.
