The spring edition of the biannual Square 2 Square Bike Ride is taking off up the Razorback Regional Greenway from Walker Park on Saturday, May 4th, 2024!

As an internationally recognized bicycle-friendly community, Fayetteville, Arkansas boasts over 50 miles of multiuse paved trails stretching across the city – designed to connect residents and guests to the places they want to go. Nestled in the Ozarks and known for its hills, it was along Fayetteville’s numerous creeks and streams that designers found the naturally flat surfaces ideal for building an award-winning trail system enjoyable for all ages and abilities.

Situated in the Ozark Mountains, much of Fayetteville boasts canopy covered trails and bikeways in a lush urban setting. The city’s forest management practices provide a healthy and diverse urban forest that protects our community's livability, air and water quality, and scenic bicycle and pedestrian paths. Beginning from Fayetteville’s Historic Downtown, follow this 3.3-mile route along bicycle-friendly streets and paved trails to locate the award-winning Arkansas Champion and Amazing Trees of Fayetteville. As cyclists wind through Fayetteville’s historic districts and oldest public park they’ll discover Dawn Redwoods - a species of tree that has existed for 50 million years, Eastern Red Cedars planted over 130 years ago, and “Witness Trees” that have lived through 17 different U.S. Presidents! Family and e-scooter friendly, once finished you don’t have to look far to find a post ride treat in Fayetteville’s Downtown like Alchemy Macarons – serving up 15 flavors of French macarons filled with fine chocolates and house made jams! The annual Hazel Valley Rally returns to Fayetteville, AR for a day of gravel grinding in the Ozark National Forest on Saturday, April 13th.

The inaugural Ozark Randonneur, a one-day cycling event featuring long-distance gravel cycling routes, embarks from Historic Downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday, September 16th, 2023. The brand-new event will bring riders on a winding tour of gravel roads through the Ozark Mountains just east of town.
