The Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder returns to Fayetteville this fall for a gravel racing experience not to be missed.
Starting from the Lake Wedington Recreation Area just west of Fayetteville, the Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder winds through the hardwood timber forests of the Ozarks before crossing into Oklahoma – for a two-state dirt road adventure!
Featuring a popular mass start format, the gravel racing kicks off Sunday morning, October 23rd at 8am with multiple route options of 42, 63, and 109 miles. Participants can expect long stretches of rolling gravel roads that descend through historic communities predating the American Civil War.
Riders will depart from Lake Wedington through wooded, canopy covered roads that are not normally open to riders. From there, they'll travel into western Oklahoma on some of the best gravel roads you can imagine!
