Craft beer culture and the rise of microbreweries in Fayetteville is definitely not a passing phase. Just within the confines of the city itself you’ll find several breweries and their public taprooms with atmospheres exhibiting personalities as distinct and diverse as the beers they produce.

A dynamic music scene is a major part of Fayetteville’s thriving arts community, and one of the most popular things to do for guests. An eclectic mix of musicians practice their craft here and can be heard all over the city. That’s probably why Fayetteville was named the No. 3 music destination for live music in the U.S. by Beyond Words.

Last weekend saw the premier of the highly-anticipated third season of HBO’s critically-acclaimed series True Detective, which was filmed in and around Fayetteville and Washington County in Northwest Arkansas. The series was created by Nic Pizzolatto, who earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and makes his directorial debut this season.

A great way to explore Fayetteville is to enjoy the new VeoRide bikeshare program. Ride the Razorback Greenway and many trails within the city, or simply get around town, by using these fun bikes.
