This June 9-10, experience 15 local DJs and regional acts performing at two live music venues in the heart of Fayetteville, AR during the third annual Her Set Her Sound Music Festival.
The two-day event will highlight women and gender-diverse DJs, "femcees" and creatives at two distinct venues for a brand new festival experience! Her Set Her Sound will take place in Fayetteville at West & Watson, a favorite bar and music spot for locals, and at Prairie Street Live, a laid-back local outdoor venue on the south side of Fayetteville’s entertainment district. Genres will be as diverse as the performers themselves, with acts ranging the spectrum from House, Disco, Soul and Latin EDM to Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, World Music and beyond. In other words, everyone in attendance will find something to like - and probably discover something new, too!
With a focus on centering an experience that amplifies women and non-binary, Black, Brown, and Queer performers, creatives, and audiences, Her Set Her Sound brings emerging talent to the mainstage, giving festival attendees a first opportunity to witness music history in the making. Northwest Arkansas has long been the home of DJs and MCs that are known for curating vibes for everything from local radio to SEC tournaments, but the pool of recognized talent has traditionally been dominated by men. Her Set Her Sound itself is a bold movement, emerging as the first festival in NWA committed to elevating the inspiring women worth looking out for in the DJing, music, and creative world!
While the stage at Her Set Her Sound belongs to the ladies and theydies, the festival experience itself is for everybody who appreciates HER! All folks are welcome to attend, regardless of gender identity and/or expression.
Her Set Her Sound festivities will kick off with an exclusive pre-party on Friday, June 9th at West & Watson. Saturday June 10th, the second day of the festival, will take place at Prairie Street Live. Featured talents DJ Queen Agnes and DJ Susie Q are headlining this year's festival alongside a pack of tenacious, skilled Her/Them creatives and emerging talents. Beyond the smooth sets and incredible jams from your favorite local DJs and artists on stage, there will be 20+ women and non-binary owned businesses on site for the festival weekend! They'll be providing food, crafts, interactive art, engaging activities, and even more musical and creative talent to keep you fueled throughout the fest. A few of the local entrepreneurs appearing at Her Set Her Sound include: Moxie Beads, Ozark Circle for Choice, Shop Possum Pie, Alicia's Bakeshop and Big Sister Studio.
Tickets are available in multiple combinations and range from $15 for HER Kick-Off Party Only tickets to $80 for a VIP Trendsetter Weekend Pass. Her Set Her Sound is wheelchair accessible, dog-friendly and welcoming to folks from all walks of life.
