Lights of the Ozarks Parade Entry Form

This application is for participation in the 2022 Lights of the Ozarks Parade taking place Friday, November 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. on the Fayetteville Square. The non-refundable parade entry fee is $30 and is due upon acceptance. The deadline for entries is Wednesday, November 9th at 5 p.m.

Parade and Safety Information

  1. All entries must be received by Wednesday, November 9th at 5 p.m.
  2. The parade will be limited to the first 60 entries. Spots are filled in the order applications are received and paid in full.
  3. Once your group is successfully registered in the parade, an email will be sent to you confirming your participation.
  4. If the parade slots fill up and there is not room for your group to participate, you will not be charged. If you sent a check, it will be returned to you.
  5. Once your group is successfully placed in the parade, the $30 participation fee is non-refundable. The fee cannot be refunded in the event the participants do not show up or in the unlikely event the parade is canceled. Cancellation is taken very seriously; the event will only be cancelled if the weather makes it unsafe for participants.
  6. At least two adults must walk alongside the float for the entire parade route.
  7. To ensure the safety of all participants, children must be supervised by adults. The recommended adult to child ratio is 1:5.
  8. IN ORDER TO KEEP OBSERVERS A SAFE DISTANCE FROM MOVING VEHICLES, CANDY MAY NOT BE THROWN OR PASSED OUT BY THOSE IN THE PARADE.

Parade Waiver and Rules of Conduct

  1. Driver is over the age of 18.
  2. Signee is either an authorized driver of the participating vehicle, or the owner/operator of the participating vehicle.
  3. The driver has a valid driver’s license which has not been revoked, suspended, or otherwise restricted.
  4. Drivers agree not to consume alcohol before or during the parade.
  5. During parade procession drivers are required to keep their vehicles in sync with the flow of the parade.
  6. Candy or other items may not be thrown from the float or vehicle. Groups who violate this will not be allowed to participate in future years.
  7. The parade participant will not hold Experience Fayetteville, the Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission, or any parade sponsors responsible for any damage, expense, or liability arising from any injury or damage to participants or participants’ property.
  8. Participants grant Experience Fayetteville the right to film and photograph their float and participants for use in future promotions of the parade.
  9. Entry Display Requirement: All floats, vehicles, trailers, and entries must be decorated festively in a winter or holiday theme. Walkers are encouraged to wear themed garments or costume. Entries shall avoid plain vehicles, flyers, and handouts. We ask you to avoid anything hurtful or hateful and encourage your themes to be welcoming.

The undersigned participants have read the attached Waiver and Rules of Conduct and hereby agree to comply.
