Stop 1: Courtyard by Marriott

Stay near the action and sleep in comfort at this hotel away from the business of downtown. This north Fayetteville hotel is high quality with excellent staff, a gourmet paid breakfast, and an excellent location only minutes from endless stores and restaurants. With plenty of indoor and outdoor gathering places, this Courtyard guarantees that hotel time doesn't mean you're stuck in your room.

Stop 2: Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks

This north Fayetteville garden is a beautiful garden experience with twelve themed gardens. Come visit Arkansas' only butterfly garden in a beautiful setting. Kids will love the children's garden, full of magical details and hidden corners. Let them climb into the barn while you sit by in the shade. Make sure you check the online calendar to see about special classes or events that might be occurring during your visit.

Stop 3: Smitty's Garage Burgers & Beer

It’s time for lunch! Grab a fancy burger, taco, or salad, and don’t miss out on adding the truffle fries. Don’t forget your drink; this restaurant even has good nugget ice. If the weather is good, plan to eat outside on the patio and let the kids enjoy the oversized Connect Four game while you wait for your food.

Stop 4: Kindness & Joy Toys

When you're done with your burger, head next door to this locally-owned toy store. They have every possible book, craft project, stuffed animal, project, or game you could possibly want. Although they do have some well-known games and toys, many of the items you will find at this store cannot be found in the big stores. You've been warned: Your kids will be able to convince you to buy something because these aren't your standard junky toys!

Stop 5: Sound Swings

This trio of adult-sized swings has a secret! Created by a local Fayetteville artist Craig Colorusso, each of the three giants swings makes a tone when you are swinging. Come with two other friends, and the three of you can make your own song… and giggle quite a bit. This interactive outdoor art installation will make everyone love art. Take the time to take a picture at the colorful wall mural nearby. If you have your scooters in the car, go for a ride along the Mud Creek Trail to get out some extra kid energy.

Stop 6: BoBo's Ribbon Ice

Bobo’s is the final stop for a cold drink after getting sweaty on the trail. Create your first boba drink by choosing your flavored drink and bursting pearls. Not adventurous enough for this yet? Order your ribbon ice by picking out the flavor of the shaved ice cream with toppings and a drizzle. It's like shaved ice made from a creamy ice cream mix. A very unique snack that will become a favorite.
