Trail Running in Fayetteville, Arkansas

April 18-19, 2025

Ragnar Events, an industry leader in team-based relay running, has announced their endurance running event, Ragnar Trail Arkansas, will be back and will be happening at Fayetteville’s Centennial Park at Millsap Mountain on April 18-19, 2025!

The Ragnar Trail Arkansas will provide runners the opportunity to work as a team to conquer hundreds of miles of lush, forested trails in a relay style competition. During the event, teams of eight (or just four for the ultra-endurance competition) will run close to 120 miles on three repeating loops winding through Centennial Park and historic Kessler Mountain, reaching 1,856 feet above sea level. While participants will run day and night and day, the relay format will leave plenty of time for relaxing around campfires, sharing meals with friends, or catching a few hours of sleep – all from a temporary event village constructed within the 228-acre public park.

Situated in the Ozark Mountains, the trails at Centennial Park and adjacent Kessler Mountain are perfectly suited for trail running and sure to inspire both camaraderie and competition. Connecting Centennial Park to Kessler Mountain and the larger Fayetteville community is the Fayetteville Traverse Trail, a unique singletrack trail experience knitting together multiple public parks, trail systems, residences, the University of Arkansas, hotels, restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops with a continuous natural surface route for trail runners, hikers, and cyclists.

Hundreds of teams are expected to ascend on Fayetteville to traverse its beautiful scenery, overcome challenges, and celebrate as a team. Known as Ragnarians, event participants often clad themselves in crazy costumes and deck out their vans and tents – before cheering on teammates, congratulating the victors, and sharing in stories of adventure!
