Bust out your coziest socks, your warmest trail-running shoes, and your favorite hat, because it’s that time again - the 8th Annual Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run is back!

Fayetteville’s annual winter weather trail running race at Kessler Mountain Regional Park will be held on January 21, 2023. The Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run is a favorite for seasoned trail runners in Northwest Arkansas, but it also offers a unique entry point to runners looking to try their first trail race. Though the singletrack trails of Kessler Mountain can be quite technical, racers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Ozark Mountains. The 15K distance also provides an opportuninty for 5K and 10K runners to work toward transitioning to a longer distance race.

Both the Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run races begin at 9:00am, starting and ending at the Kessler Mountain Baseball Complex. The 5K and 15K routes are 95% singletrack, with a number of extremely techincal sections on the 15K loop. Course maps for 2023 are expected to be released soon by the City of Fayetteville.

All participants in the Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run will receive custom event socks, finisher medals, hot soup, cold beer, and more to be announced! Awards will be provided for top three overall and top three age group finishers on race day.

Fayetteville’s fantastic trail network on 620 acres of majestic Kessler Park is worth a break from the pavement, we promise! Registration for the race is open here, with a cost of $35 for the 15K Trail Race, $30 for 5K runners over the age of 16, and $15 for 5K runners under the age of 16.
