Winter athletes are coming out from hibernation! The Arkansas gymnastics team is no exception, with a planned return to action on January 7, 2022.

The Gymbacks will compete in 11 meets total, 4 non-conference and 7 SEC. The season opener on Friday, January 7, will be one of five meets hosted by the Razorbacks - where they’ll be taking on Ohio State in the first regular season meeting between the two since 2009.

Another historic event for the team takes place the following weekend, as the Gymbacks take on Auburn in Bud Walton Arena, utilizing the space for gymnastics for the very first time.

As a team, the Gymbacks set a new program-high team score not once, but TWICE in 2021! The team ended its season at the regional finals and scored a 197.250 in the semifinals, the best for the program in any regional. Arkansas was ranked in the top 10 on all four events and all-around throughout the 2021 slate, which includes three straight weeks at No. 2 on floor and a season-high team rank of No. 4 overall. Needless to say, the Gymbacks are in for an exciting 2022!

The Arkansas Razorbacks Gymnastics team is a gem that’s worth traveling to see! Whether you come for one meet and a meal -- or buy a full season pass for only $25 -- why not come to Fayetteville again and again and again?
