Fayetteville’s bustling art scene creates an increased demand for the types of high-end brands and specific supplies that you’d be hard-pressed to find at just any chain art supply store. Fortunately for artists visiting or living in the area, Fayetteville local and award winning muralist Olivia Trimble has recently filled that gap with her new store, Sleet City Art and Supplies.
Located at 914 N College Ave in Fayetteville, Sleet City is tucked in next to fellow women-owned business, Pink House Alchemy. The art supply store had their soft opening in December 2021 and with the addition of a new hand painted storefront sign installed in April 2022, is officially open for business!
Sleet City carries a wide assortment of hand-selected art supplies, curated and handmade gift items, and also has local artwork on display for sale. The selection is very reasonably priced, thanks to an artist-owner that is familiar with the market! New gifts, kits, crafting supplies, and seasonal items are added each week so that every return visit to Sleet City is a new experience.
Beyond the typical art store supplies, expect to find offbeat trinkets and works of art, small delights for your garden, and even unusual and hard-to-find flower and vegetable seeds. Eventually, the plan is for Sleet City to host art classes and workshops right at the store.
Sleet City Art and Supplies is open six days a week, Wednesday through Monday. To learn more or browse what’s available in store, visit sleetcity.com
