The award-winning Fayetteville Farmers Market, a perennial favorite of locals and visitors alike, returns to the Historic Downtown Square on Saturday, March 19.

We won’t have to wait quite as long for the 2022 season to begin as we have in previous years! This year, the market is making its first appearance on the square with a two-part preseason “Spring Fling”. The “Spring Fling” walk-up markets spanning the last two Saturdays in March - March 19 and 26 - will be open from 7am to 2pm. The regular season will open the following weekend, on Saturday, April 2.

The Fayetteville Farmers Market, the oldest in Arkansas, features 70 vendors each season. All vendors are vetted and must grow or make their product within 60 miles of Fayetteville! It’s an incredibly hyper-local market that includes a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, and cheeses, in addition to fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, honeys, and jams. You’ll also find a variety of plants, fly traps, fine art, and handmade crafts for sale. A “harvest calendar” that shows which fruits and vegetables will be available at the market each month is available in the Fayetteville Visitor’s Guide.

Once the regular Saturday markets begin on April 2, they will run each Saturday through November (excluding the Saturday after Thanksgiving) from 7am to 2pm. Tuesday walk-up markets will begin on May 3 and run through September, setting up on the square from 7am to 1pm. On top of all the wonderful things for sale by local vendors, expect live music on every corner, a rotating selection of food trucks and community groups, and tons of folks and their furry friends all around the square!
