Pack Rat Pint Night Series

A fun way of tapping into the true Fayetteville vibe has hit lucky number seven this year, with all of the luck being shared among a few fantastic nonprofits and all of the folks who decide to attend one or all of Pack Rat Outdoor Center’s Pint Night series. In 2012, the expert team at Pack Rat decided to create a great reason to gather, with a shared vision of connecting people while building up and fostering the local community.

Like Pack Rat’s iconic outdoor equipment and supply store, Pint Nights are designed to provide a space to foster hanging out and meeting new people—while simultaneously supporting organizations with goals focused on protecting, conserving, facilitating or educating about the outdoors.

Mark your calendar for the 2019 series of three events, all held at Pack Rat Outdoor Center’s stunning 15,000 square foot log structure at 209 West Sunbridge Drive:

October 2 – 5:30 – 8 p.m.

October 30 – 5:30 – 8 p.m.

November 20 – 5:30 – 8 p.m.

  • Beer provided by Fossil Cove and Black Apple Crossing
  • Food provided by Farrell’s Lounge Bar & Grill
  • Music by Jim n' Juice
  • Proceeds benefit Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, a nonprofit created to serve as the voice for wild public lands, waters and wildlife

Tickets are $10 cash at the door for guests over 21 and $5 for ages 5 – 20. Children under 5 are free to attend, and dogs with manners are welcome. Those who attend can enter to win prizes—and in keeping with Pack Rat’s mission to conserve and reuse, if you bring your own pint glass or mug, you’ll receive an extra ticket for the giveaway drawing.

If you’re not yet familiar with the Pack Rat Outdoor Center story, they’ve been a Fayetteville treasure since 1973. Their knowledgeable team runs largely free outdoor educational classes and clinics for the general public, schools, and local youth clubs. They have partnered to help more than 50 local nonprofits raise funds, averaging over $35,000 a year and have been honored as one of the greenest shops in the nation by multiple publications. Pack Rat hosts several city and park cleanups, as well as started a grant program to sponsor local climbers.
