Fayetteville is the best place to show dad a good time this Father’s Day! With special events happening throughout the weekend and loads of things to do, see, and eat, a Sunday spent with Dad in Fayetteville will be a gift he’ll remember for years to come.
Below are a few ideas for fun things to do together in Fayetteville for Father's Day that dad is sure to treasure. For more ideas, browse our website, Visitor's Guide, or Event Calendar to find places to eat, shop and much, much more!
PB&JJ’s | Sunday, June 19 | 1:00pm - 4:00 pm
If you’ve got one of those dads that has everything, sign up for this Father’s Day themed pickleball tournament on Fayetteville’s newest court! We guarantee it’s one gift that dad’s never unwrapped before. Entry comes with two beers and lots of father-you bonding time.
112 Drive-In Theatre | Thursday - Sunday | June 16 - 19 | First show at 9:00 pm
A classic and thrifty choice for a fun Father’s Day gift, especially if Sunday just doesn’t work for you this year! Pull up with pops for a back-to-back showing of Jurassic World: Dominion followed by Top Gun: Maverick any night this weekend. Jurassic World begins at 9:00pm and Top Gun at 11:40pm.
Bonding over beer with your old man is a timeless Father’s Day gift, if you ask us! Make it a little more fun by picking up an Ale Trail passport at your first brewery. From there, you and dad can (safely!) travel to a few other stops, collect stamps, and really cement your place as the favorite child.
Downtown Fayetteville | Friday - Sunday | June 17 - 19 | Doors at 6:30pm
Does dad like to dance? Tickets are still available for Roots on the Avenue, an outdoor street stage music festival on Fayetteville’s downtown square. Nine artists will play over the course of the weekend, and you’ll be conveniently located near plenty of restaurants so you can get a celebratory meal of dad’s choice! If you can’t commit yourself (or your father) to a full weekend of festivaling, we recommend catching headliner Bonny Light Horseman, who will be playing outside Roots HQ on Father’s Day, June 19.
Outdoorsy types will appreciate an outing on the lake, and with so many options for food and activities available, Lake Fayetteville is the obvious choice! The food truck court boasts a broad swath of cuisines, from hamburgers and American soul food to Asian fusion and authentic Mexican street food. After you’ve figured out lunch, papa can peruse the list of rentals available at Lake Fayetteville Boat and Bike and choose from options like fishing boats, tandem bikes, or kayaks. A leisurely stroll around the trail is always another option that’s easier on the wallet and just as lovely - we promise dad won’t mind.
