Rainbow flags are waving, it’s June and the sun is shining, and the streets of downtown Fayetteville are filled with celebration: it must be Pride Month. 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
The NWA Pride parade and festival weekend in Fayetteville is the largest LGBTQIA2+ Pride celebration in Arkansas as well as one of the largest community celebrations we’ll have all year! It’s the icing on a week full of festivities celebrating pride, in a month with even more, and everyone is welcome to visit Fayetteville to safely commemorate the occasion. When you’re celebrating with us, you’re one of us!

Thursday, June 16
Peeling Out for Pride - Fayetteville Public Library - 6:00 - 9:00pm
Crawfish and fixin’s prepared by Chef Jacob Scrulock of Atlas will be served in the Glades of the Fayetteville Public Library from 6 until 9pm. Local favorites Funk Factory, an upbeat party band and Fayetteville staple, will be playing through the night to keep you moving and grooving!
pH Pride Cocktail Party - Pink House Alchemy - 6:00pm - 10:00pm
NWA Equality and Sipsmith Gin are partnering up with the folks at queer-owned Pink House Alchemy for a Pride Party! Enjoy signature Pink House x Sipsmith Gin & Tonics flights, a free mini cocktail class, signature cocktails, and mocktails, delicious bites, music, art, drag performances, and good vibes - all before you even get to the Pride parade on Saturday! 25% of all food and drink sales will be donated to NWA Equality to serve the LGBTQIA+ community in Northwest Arkansas.

Pride Sign Making Party - Sleet City Art and Supplies - 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Fayetteville's favorite little indie art shop is hosting a sign-making party on the eve of NWA Pride! The event is free to attend and kids are welcome to tag along and join in the fun. All supplies will be provided alongside complimentary snacks and beverages.
Light Up the Lot - Maxine’s Tap Room - beginning at 9:00pm
It’s the annual outdoor Pride dance party on the Block! Maxine's Tap Room invites you to bring your glow sticks, your sparkles, and your Pride to party the night away in downtown Fayetteville. With music by Kiera Maserati and food by Girls Gone BBQ (vegan options available) at one of the most iconic bars in all of Fayetteville, you’re guaranteed to make memories at this one. 10% of the weekend’s sales will be donated to NWA Equality.
PRIDE Drag Show: Kornbreads Comin! - C4 Nightclub & Lounge - 9:00pm - 2:00am
We’re proud in Fayetteville to have a local queen that’s also RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty: our very own Maddy Morphosis! This year, she’ll be bringing the celebration to C4 alongside her season sister, Kornbread, for an all-night PRIDE Party. Featuring local queens Ella Rosa, Sina Kakes, and Chole Jacobs. Hosted by Fayetteville’s former Miss Gay United States herself, Taylor Madison Monroe!
Saturday, June 18
NWA Pride - Downtown Fayetteville - All Day
The NWA Pride festival features vendors, musical acts on two stages, entertainment, shows, and contests, and an official afterparty - and that’s without mentioning the weekend’s main events: the Pride Parade and Trans March! The full entertainment lineup and schedule is pictured below, but we’ll list a few highlights here:
11:00am - 5:00pm - Big Gay Market - Walton Arts Center Parking Lot
NWA’s first and only all-queer maker’s market will have 80+ of the biggest, gayest vendors on site all day leading up to the NWA Pride Parade.
11:00am - 4:00pm - NWA Pride Youth Zone - inside the Walton Arts Center
This family-friendly and air-conditioned area includes a family-focused nonprofit fair, a teen-centric party starring Maddy Morphosis and teen band The Misdemeanors, arts and crafts for smaller children, and NWA Pride’s annual Drag Story Hour.
12:00pm - Trans March - Dickson Street
Honoring youth founder of The Equality Crew, Phoenix May, the NWA Trans March is open to all, with no pre-registration required. The march will be in support of Arkansas’ trans and gender non-conforming youth, beginning at noon and ending with a rally at the Festival Main Stage in the Walton Arts Center parking lot.
2:30pm - 4:00pm - Mr. NWA Teddy Bear 2022 - Kingfish
Pure fun and shenanigans on the Prism Aesthetics Stage at Kingfish Bar is back with this three-category contest sure to delight! The contest is open to anyone of any gender (even if they have no gender), as long as they are 21+ and are willing to be ogled by strangers. Categories include: Bear Wear and Onstage Questions, Talent, and Wet Unicorn Wrestling. Registration in advance is requested, but walk-ons registration is nearly always welcome!
5:00pm - Pride Parade - Dickson Street
The 2022 NWA Pride Parade will roll down Dickson Street beginning at 5pm with 105 entries and over 3000 scheduled marchers in tow. The event will also be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person. The parade honors Grand Marshal Norman Jones, and his stage personality Norma Kristie. Jones has touched the lives of thousands of LGBTQ+ Arkansans and countless others across the country as Miss Gay Arkansas 1972, Miss Gay America 1973, and as owner of one of the largest and longest-running LGBTQ+ nightclubs in Arkansas and the south.
8:30pm - 2:00am - Glitterville - George’s Majestic Lounge
After the markets are closed, the march is over, and the parade has rolled, the official party of NWA Pride begins! 2022’s Glitterville stars headliners Symone and Maddy Morphosis of Rupaul's Drag Race, with music by international circuit DJ Joe Pacheco. The highly anticipated show is currently sold out, but there may be tickets available at the door beginning the evening of the show at 10:30pm.
Pride Pub Crawl - Dickson Street - 2:00pm - 8:00pm
Register for a Pride Pub Crawl passport and make your way through the participating bars collecting stamps to earn a prize! The Pride Pub Crawl takes place during the height of the NWA Pride festivities, so you'll be surrounded by plenty of action.
Pride After Party - Cocoon Collective NWA - 7:00pm - 12:00am
A free afterparty in a safe space with Cocoon Collective will keep the NWA Pride vibes rolling on into the night! If you're able, there is a $5 suggested donation earmarked for expanding access to mental health programming.
The Annual White Party - C4 Nightclub & Lounge - 9:00pm - 2:00am
If you didn’t get tickets to Glitterville or want a little more of a local vibe, you belong at The White Party! A Pride weekend staple in NWA since 2010, this event is one of the most attended LGBTQIA2+ parties of the year in Fayetteville. Wear white to show solidarity for HIV/AIDS education and research while you party the night away with DJ Susie Q! A portion of C4’s sales will be donated to HIV/AIDS initiatives.
Tuesday, June 28
Out in the Garden - Botanical Garden of the Ozarks - 5:00pm - 8:00pm
An invitation to all LGBTQIA+2 families, individuals and allies to gather in the Garden for community and ice cream! The Cocktail Club featuring Wes Bowlin, Miles Bowlin and Leah Spears-Blackmon will perform live music. Simple + Sweet Creamery will be selling ice cream and donating a portion of sales from the evening to the Equality Crew, a local organization striving to create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to gather and enjoy.
