A college town nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, Fayetteville draws students and visitors from all over the world who share their stories, cultures, and traditions in all of the best ways. In the travel and tourism industry, one of our favorite ways to celebrate Fayetteville is through the FOOD! Here, it’s a melting pot of local international and fusion flavors so whatever you or your crew are hungry for, Fayetteville serves it up.
Here are some great spots to start your international culinary journey right here in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Latin
Latin cuisine is deeply infused into Fayetteville whether you are looking for authentic flavors of tamales and chilaquiles or a Tex-Mex spin on fajitas, you can find it here. Get to Xuma Kitchens, Tula, or Rolando’s downtown for authentic Latino eats. Mr. Taco Loco, La Nueva Luna, and cover all the street taco needs. Drive through Mangos for mouthwatering burritos, swing by Doomsday for the breakfast tacos or pop into Mo’ Tacos and Churros for a treat! Tex-mex is served up all over town in places like La Huerta or El Matador. Finish off the night with some late-night eats from Los Bobos or Plomo Quesadillas.

Get your brunch on at Emelia’s Kitchen or mix it up with some shawarma or kebabs from K fash Mediterranean cuisine.
Italian
Whether you’re looking for an upscale dining experience like Vetro 1925 or an authentic classic like Renzo’s Italian Kitchen, you can find some great Italian food here. Geraldi’s, Bocca and Pesto Café fly a little more under the radar and are not to be missed!
You can’t talk about Italian American fusion without mentioning pizza! Fayetteville has many spots to get the perfect pie. Check out some local spots like Tim’s Pizza, Marleys or Mojo’s Pints and Pies. Wood stone Pizza really mixes up their flavor profiles with creative combos and Wicked Wood Fired Pizza serves up wood-fired goodness out of a food truck at Fossil Cove Brewery.
American
When people think of American food, many think of burgers and fries or things smothered in gravy. Get a great burger and fries at Hugo’s or a grilled cheese sandwich and sweet potato fries at Hammontree’s or a sit-down dinner at Cheers at the OPO, Leverett Lounge, Mockingbird Kitchen. Get breakfast at Southern Food Company, Arsaga’s or Prelude. Wander into a quaint bakery like Little Bread Company or Dirty Apron Bakehouse. Enjoy a finer dining experience at Atlas, Bordinos or Ella’s Table. Enjoy a farm to table experience at Farmer’s Table or wander through the Fayetteville Farmers Market to pick up that fresh produce and flowers for yourself.
BBQ
While barbeque is enjoyed all over the world, everywhere does it a little differently putting their own spin and sauces on beautifully charred and roasted meats. Making it a category all its own, Fayetteville is full of great spots to enjoy these smoky flavors. Get to Herman’s Ribhouse for fantastic ribs and Penguin Ed’s for classics serving up pulled pork sandwiches and more. Sassy's and Foghorns have your BBQ gameday eats covered and Wes’ BBQ Burger plus is serving it up old school just for you.
Food Trucks
Never pass up an opportunity to order some eats from a food truck. You know those places often have the most authentic flavors at the best prices. Some of our Favorite food truck courts in Fayetteville are Shulertown on Dickson Street, The Yacht Club on College Ave. or the big group of food trucks by Lake Fayetteville. You’ll find lots of niche eats from Salvadorean pupusas, to Black American soul food or Korean Egg Toast to Nashville Hot Chicken. Outside of these food truck courts you’ll find single spots serving up their specialties like Chicken and Waffles or Spring Rolls and Boba Tea.
