Herman's Ribhouse Named to Arkansas Food Hall of Fame

Herman's Ribhouse, a Fayetteville institution since 1964, was named to the prestigious Arkansas Food Hall of Fame by the Division of Arkansas Heritage at a ceremony in Little Rock last month. The program celebrates Arkansas' unique culinary heritage by recognizing the state's best restaurants, proprietors and food-themed events.

“We are proud to continue the tradition of honoring the Arkansas food scene," Shea Lewis, secretary for the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, said. “Food is an important element of Arkansas culture and what makes it unique. These winners embody this legacy.”

The Food Hall of Fame Award was presented to Herman's Ribhouse owner Dominque "Nick" Wright on Friday, October 25 by Food Hall of Fame representative Kat Robinson.

Robinson stressed that this award is given only to the most iconic Arkansas restaurants, and that only three restaurants statewide were named to the Hall of Fame this year.

"This is truly an honor," Wright said. "Now, we'll be in the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame forever."
