Run for your Hero 5k

Hero Half Marathon 5k will start at the Northwest Arkansas Mall and be an out and back course that runs towards the skull creek and mud creek train intersection then returns to the Northwest Arkansas Mall. Proceeds go to support The Spark Foundation and Fayetteville Firefighters’ IAFF – Local 2866

The Hero Half Marathon is a fundraising race and community event hosted by The Spark Foundation in partnership with Fayetteville Firefighters’ IAFF – Local 2866. Race proceeds benefit organizations that meet important community needs, increase fitness opportunities for the community, and make Fayetteville and Arkansas a great place to live, work, and play.

The Spark Foundation is all about encouraging our community to get active and stay active. In keeping with our mission we have eliminated age group awards and instead will award prizes for those who best their Hero Half Marathon finisher time! We want the person who motivates you to be, YOU!

Fun, Community, Celebration

NICA regionals are keystone events that unite and celebrate the NICA community.

For 2025, we are excited to announce our first-ever CENTRAL REGIONAL event in Fayetteville, Arkansas! We're bringing together 11 leagues from across the midwest and central U.S. to race, ride, and connect.

Regional events are open to all to attend! Come check out the expo, enjoy the venue, and take in all the action on race day.

Racing is open to high school riders from participating leagues. Adventure rides, GRiT activities, pre-rides, and other on-bike activities are open to all registered riders (of all age levels) and coaches from across NICA.

Some events may include limited clinics that are open to the public.

SLS Dash 5K for Neurodiversity

The annual SLS Dash 5K and Fun Run for Neurodiversity, presented by Buffalo Builders, is an opportunity for runners of all abilities to compete, champion fitness for neurodivergent participants with support as needed, and have fun together! The route weaves through SLS Community’s future home at Cato Springs, nestled below the beautiful rolling hills stretching from Mount Kessler.

This is a 5K and 1 mile Fun Run. The Fun Run course is wheelchair accessible. You don't have to be a runner to participate! Run, walk, jog, or roll to the finish line. Visit slscommunity.org/slsdash for registration details!

Fayetteville Veterans Day Parade

Answering the Call this Veterans Day to show our respect and gratitude for all military Veterans of the Uniformed Services and their families of Northwest Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Will host a Veterans Day Parade & Trade Show to honor the men and women that have selflessly served in the US Army, the US Navy, the US Marines, the US Air Force, the US Space Force, or the US Coast Guard.

Distinguished Participants include:

● Mayor Molly Rawn

● Grand Marshall Captain Cliff Mosier, Vietnam and Persian Gulf War Veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. Inducted into the Arkansas Veterans Hall of Fame.

● Mr. Joshua Pineda, FOX24 Evening News Anchor will be our emcee for the parade.

Where:

PARADE: Will begin from East Ave onto Dickson Street to West Ave turning left and conclude at Spring Street, Fayetteville, AR

VETERANS TRADE SHOW: Upper Ramble (West Ave & Dickson Street), Fayetteville, AR

TIME: Parade will begin at 11:00am. Registration is required to participate in the parade or to set up a booth at the Trade Show.

Bring your chairs, your patriotic apparel, and wave the American Flag to show your support to all the Veterans in the Parade, the Trade Show, or in the crowd. MTW Poker Ride 2025

RIDE BIKES, DRINK BEER, HELP KIDS

This is a fundraising event that is fun for anyone (adults and children are welcome!) who likes to bike on the beautiful bike trails in Fayetteville, AR, and even more fun for those who also like the excellent craft breweries, bars, and restaurants along the way.

Short route that is a relatively easy 7.8 mile ride~

12:00-12:30: Short distance rider check-in at Flyway Brewing Company,
12:30-12:45 Welcome, MTW presentation, fundraiser overview
12:45 Riders depart at their own pace
11:45/12:45-4:30: Riders bike (at their own pace) to Prairie Street Live via the following stops:
Flyway Brewing Company (long distance riders)
Fossil Cove Brewing Co.
Nomads Trailside
Columbus House Brewery and Tap Room

4:00-5:00: Prairie Street Live: Free food, beer, conversation
4:30: Prize announcements

We have an option for any riders wanting a longer ride. This route begins at Black Apple taproom in Springdale, check-in at 11am. Route connects up at Flyway Brewing.

Fall Fest Community Event

We invite you to join us for Fall Fest at NorthPoint, a free community event happening at 533 E Appleby Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703!

This special day is packed with fun for all ages with free food, bounce houses for the kids, face-painting, games, a classic hayride, and so much more. Plus, we’ll be giving families a Thanksgiving meal while supplies last (first come, first serve). Fall Fest is our way of giving back to Fayetteville and bringing neighbors together, so come out, bring a friend, and enjoy an unforgettable afternoon of laughter, food, and community.

Fayetteville Wheelmen Group Ride

Sundays 1:30 at Columbus House Brewery is our “Sunday Social” ride (Year-round except Easter Sunday, and weather permitting.)

The no-drop ride is typically around 30 miles sometimes with 2 pace groups. Ride concludes with post ride banter and refreshments at Columbus House Brewery.

Ride CANCELLED when temperature is 40 degrees or below.
