5 Miles - Mild

Beginning from Veterans Memorial Park, the Lake Fayetteville Trail is a 5.5-mile scenic paved trail loop offering beautiful views of the 194-acre Lake Fayetteville, plus access to public playgrounds, picnic areas, and restrooms. Originally constructed in 1948 as a source of drinking water for the Fayetteville community, the lake creates a natural setting as the Lake Fayetteville Trail leads riders counterclockwise past popular destinations including the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks, the North Shore Bicycle Skills Park, and Lake Fayetteville Boat & Bike.

Located just west of the Lake Fayetteville Softball Complex, a large food truck court offers the perfect place for an outdoor lunch or quick bite during or after any ride. While each food truck sets its own hours, you’ll find a flavorful array of burgers, po’ boys, street tacos, tamales, traditional Thai, Filipino cuisine, and Asian-inspired dishes at the dozen food trucks situated near Lake Fayetteville.

One of our most family-friendly trail experiences, the bridge spanning the Lake Fayetteville spillway is a favorite spot for photos, proposals, or a pause in the ride before returning to Veterans Memorial Park to complete the loop.

Where to Park

Veterans Memorial Park is a popular 40-acre park facility located on the south shore of Lake Fayetteville with public parking, playgrounds, sand volleyball courts, picnic areas, restrooms, and access to the Razorback Regional Greenway and Lake Fayetteville Trail.

No bike? No problem. Fayetteville has an extensive fleet of dockless e-scooters and e-bikes that can be found all around town and available for rent from partners VEO and SPIN.
