Tri-State Taste Dual Sport Adventure Route Fayetteville Arkansas

227 Miles

Fayetteville is so conveniently located that you can experience the Ozarks in multiple states as they spill over into Oklahoma as well as Missouri. Our 227-mile Tri-State Taste route sneaks over the state line and jumps onto the Green Country Oklahoma Adventure Tour (GOAT), heads north through the backcountry, then turns around on the other side of the Missouri state line and back into Arkansas.

You’ll warm your tires heading southwest out of town on curvy State Highway 265 towards Hogeye, Arkansas and a first taste of gravel. Following Cove Creek towards Chambers Hollow, the route turns west along gravel roads - getting your tires properly dirty crossing the Oklahoma state line.

The route joins the GOAT east of Stillwell on Piney Road. The GOAT is a popular 438-mile loop among Oklahoma adventure riders looking to get the best out of their home state. Our Tri-State Taste route skims the eastern portion of the GOAT loop along rivers, springs, and Ozark mountain farmland on 50/50 dirt/pavement. Plan to play alongside the Illinois River and even dip your toes in at Carnes Ford Public Access Point. If you’re feeling competitive, stop and turn some laps at Gas MX near Watts, OK then fuel up and grab a bite before heading east into West Siloam Springs.

After a quick skip across Flint Creek, Spavinaw Creek, and Beaty Creek, you’ll find yourself at the union of Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma – where a popular stone marker showcases the state lines. The route crosses into Missouri before cutting back south towards Fayetteville - but don’t miss Sibley and Big North Springs Roads. These undulating dirt roads keep the adrenaline pumping and the dust flying. Limekiln Road will have you crossing the Spavinaw Creek once again, but this time on the Arkansas side. Riders can freshen and fuel up at the Handy Mart in Decatur before heading south through the Wedington Recreation Area – part of the Ozark National Forest. Twisty State Highway 16 points you back towards Fayetteville where a vibrant nightlife or rest and relaxation awaits.
