Veo Ride
Veo Ride is an e-scooter company that provides two kinds of scooters to the Fayetteville area: their Astro stand-up scooter, and their Cosmo sit-down scooter. After downloading the app to your phone, you only need to put in your phone number to set up an account. You can add your card information to the app or use Apple Pay to pay for your ride.
Then, use the map function to find a scooter near you. You'll be able to see how much battery the scooter has left. It costs $1 to unlock the scooter, and then you'll pay by the minute for use. A fifteen minute ride on a Cosmo sit-down scooter costs about $6.25 before tax and fees.
To use the scooter, you'll scan the QR code between the handlebars and hop on. When you're finished with your ride, you can park your Veo scooter in a designated parking zone and take a photo in the app to confirm that you've finished your ride.
It's even possible to use Veo without having a smartphone. Reach out by calling, and a customer representative will help you set up an account. Veo also offers discounted rates to folks who qualify for federal and state assistance.
Contact Veo Ride with questions or issues by calling 1 (855) 836-2256 or by sending an email to
Spin
Both e-bikes and e-scooters are available through the Spin app, providing flexibility, ease, and variety. After setting up an account and adding your card, you can jet off to your next location. A fifteen minute e-bike or e-scooter rental from Spin costs about $7 if charged by the minute. However, you can purchase more cost-effective ride-passes in their app.
Riding with your whole crew? Spin lets one person operate the ride from their app. Just tap "Add Rider" to get everyone their own sweet e-ride. All rides will be billed to one person after you're done traveling. Bonus: in Spin's app, you can reserve your e-bike or e-scooter before you get to it, securing transportation for you and your friends.
Get in touch with Spin by reaching out through the "Help" button in their app, or call 1 (888) 249-9698 to report an issue.

I'm new to e-biking and e-scootering! What else do I need to know?
Here are some rules and safety precautions it's important to review before you hop on your e-bike or e-scooter.
- Scooter riders should be at least 16 years old, and proper safety gear like helmets is recommended.
- Scooters can be ridden anywhere bicycles are allowed, which includes streets and paved trails.
- Yield to pedestrians, and don't travel on sidewalks downtown to keep other people safe.
- Obey the same traffic laws that cars do. Scooters should travel on the same side of the road as traffic. They shouldn't travel against the flow of traffic.
- Stay aware. Don't use your cell phone or headphones while riding e-bikes or e-scooters.
- Use at least one hand on the handlebars at all times to keep you and the people around you safe.
- If you're riding on the University of Arkansas campus, there are some slow zones to protect pedestrians. You can see a map of these slow zones here.
- Park responsibly, placing scooters upright. Make sure they don't block important transit stops, ADA accessible locations, driveways, loading zones, or sidewalks, so that it's easy for other people in our community to get around.
These common-sense rules are highlights from the e-bike and e-scooter companies themselves. If you're interested in the official rules about riding your e-bike or e-scooter, check the University of Arkansas website to learn about expectations for riding your scooter on campus. See the City of Fayetteville website to know about how you should take care on e-transport in Fayetteville as a whole.
