September 21
The only thing better than leisurely traversing thirty miles of the beautiful Razorback Greenway on a bicycle is making the journey with three party-worthy pit stops along the way! Northwest Arkansas communities along the trail will again play host to the Square 2 Square ride, a wildly popular biannual event that brings out thousands of riders of all ages and experience levels to Fayetteville each fall and spring.
On Saturday, September 21, fall Square 2 Square bikers will take off from downtown Bentonville’s Lawrence Plaza between 7 and 9:30 a.m. to make a one-way trip to beautiful historic downtown Fayetteville. The focus of the day is 100% fun and participants are encouraged to ride at their own pace. For those who wish to join, but have concerns about making the entire distance, riders are welcome to start their trip at any point along the Razorback Greenway.
A collaboration between the Fayetteville and Bentonville Parks & Recreation departments and Bike Bentonville, organizers from both communities work with local businesses, organizations and volunteers to coordinate festive stops along the course. Live entertainment, bike maintenance services and even refreshments help to break up the ride and offer a chance to rest and re-energize. Once bikers reach the Fayetteville end of the course, they’ll find a post-ride celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wondering how to get back to the starting point without riding thirty more miles? Optional return shuttles run on a schedule throughout the day and are available by reservation for just $10 per person.
