Situated in the Ozark Mountains, much of Fayetteville boasts canopy covered trails and bikeways in a lush urban setting. The city’s forest management practices provide a healthy and diverse urban forest that protects our community's livability, air and water quality, and scenic bicycle and pedestrian paths.

Beginning from Fayetteville’s Historic Downtown, follow this 3.3-mile route along bicycle-friendly streets and paved trails to locate the award-winning Arkansas Champion and Amazing Trees of Fayetteville.

As cyclists wind through Fayetteville’s historic districts and oldest public park they’ll discover Dawn Redwoods - a species of tree that has existed for 50 million years, Eastern Red Cedars planted over 130 years ago, and “Witness Trees” that have lived through 17 different U.S. Presidents!
