With cooler weather upon us, the fall season is in full swing. For visitors to Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas, one of the most popular activities to do during this time of year is enjoying the fall foliage.
From mid-October to early November in the Ozarks, the leaves change color in spectacular fashion, making for breathtaking views throughout wooded paths, scenic overlooks and even inside the city, considering how green Fayetteville is during the spring and summer months.
While Fayetteville is a haven for competitive cycling and mountain biking, casual bike rides around the city are one of the most popular things to do in Fayetteville. It’s a great way to experience everything the city has to offer — restaurants, shopping, nightlife — while still enjoying the beautiful outdoors Northwest Arkansas and the Ozarks are known for.
New in 2016: Kessler Mountain Regional Park A great facility for youth recreation, tournaments, soccer and baseball with plan to grown and include many more facilities and amenities.
The new park is just off Cato Springs road in south Fayetteville and plans to be an epicenter for sports and activities. It’s 200 acres already boasts 6 full-size lighted soccer fields (each of which can be split into multiple youth fields) and four baseball fields.
