First Thursday, the longstanding Fayetteville festival series, has changed to Sunday on the Square. The free, family-friendly events include a diverse lineup of live music, artist demonstrations and installations, food trucks, group bike rides and an arts market featuring makers and creators in a variety of media. Join us for a Sunday afternoon celebrating our Fayetteville community and culture.
Sunday on the Square is presented by Experience Fayetteville and organized by Downtown Fayetteville Coalition.
Jennifer Walker, Interim CEO of Experience Fayetteville, announced the change at a spring Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission meeting.
“We’re excited to introduce Sunday on the Square, offering the same great local art, music, and community spirit in a more accessible time slot,” Walker said. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Square for a new take on a favorite tradition.”
Each festival will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. The dates for Sunday on the Square are as follows:
- Sunday, March 30th
- Sunday, April 27th
- Sunday, August 24th
- Sunday, September 14th
- Sun, November 2nd – Rain Date
