The jolliest run in Fayetteville is back, so bust out your flashiest holiday garb, your ugliest seasonal sweater, and your favorite Santa hat! It’s time to get ready for the 9th Annual Jingle Bell Jog 5K & Children’s Fun Run.

This year’s event will feature 3 categories - solo 5K, team 5K, and a children’s fun run - at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Last year’s event was cancelled for public safety concerns, so the crew is ready to make this one a blast!

Runners and walkers of all levels are encouraged to wear their silliest holiday garb - anything that sparkles and jingles is particularly encouraged. Elf ears, holiday headbands, festive leggings - the tackier, the better! The whole family is invited to participate in this all-ages event. Pets, however, need to stay home and keep warm.

Light snacks will be provided for participants the morning of the race beginning at 8:00 am. The first 200 children (12 and under) will receive a swag bag, and all race finishers will receive a finisher medal. Awards will be presented to the fastest runners in each age group.

The 5K course begins and finishes inside the Botanical Garden and goes out and back along the Lake Fayetteville Trail and the Razorback Greenway. The Children’s Fun Run takes place inside the garden. Ages 4 and under will do a ~1/2 mile, 4 lap race around Great Lawn circle. Ages 5 and over will go a bit farther, ~1 mile on the garden’s paved and dirt trail.

Come run, walk, and be merry!

Proceeds support the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks’ mission to provide education, entertainment and recreation for the over 80,000 visitors and students who visit the garden each year.

You can sign up for the race here and join the Facebook event for updates.
