Terrific Tuesday Nights at the Botanical Gardens

If you’re wondering where to find the prettiest spots in town, one location that easily lands near or at the very top of anyone’s list is the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. There are countless reasons to make frequent visits to this Fayetteville gem, with its twelve themed gardens and the region’s only butterfly house—but you might not realize one of the best excuses to come to the BGO is for the fun and FREE Terrific Tuesday Nights that take place throughout the summer season.

Open to the public at no charge on Tuesday evenings during the months of June through August, the garden staff welcomes the community to family-friendly programming to celebrate beautiful summer nights. The gate is open from 5 to 8 p.m., and evenings featuring concerts wrap up at or before 9 p.m.

Check out the wonderful lineup for 2019 and plan to enjoy all these evenings have to offer:

June 11 – Trout Fishing in America Artosphere concert – Show is 6:30 - 8 p.m. and in the case of rain, this free concert will move indoors to the Walton Arts Center, where reservations are required. If you wish to reserve a spot at the rain location, visit the Walton Arts Center website.
June 25 – Gardens are open to all visitors
July 2 – Bring your picnic blanket and wear your patriotic best to celebrate America’s birthday and military service members at the Red, White & Blooms concert featuring the NWA Jazz & More Orchestra. Show starts at 7 p.m.
July 9 – Gardens are open to all visitors
July 16 – Enjoy Arkansauce in concert – a genre-hopping, four-piece string band known for bending the rules and blurring the lines between bluegrass, newgrass, folk, Americana, country, blues and funk. Show starts at 7 p.m.
July 23 – Come out for some sweet string sounds, and if you’re a picker, bring your instrument. Bluegrass Jam/Picking Night at the garden features performances by local bluegrass musicians, and guests are welcome to play along.
July 30 – Gardens are open to all visitors
August 6 – Whether you’re an experience bird watcher or interested in learning more about our feathered friends in the region, you’ll enjoy learning from Butch Tetzlaff of the Bluebird Shed in Bella Vista and other area groups.
August 13 – Soak up the sultry summer breezes and listen to a concert with songs of the South, featuring sounds of the delta, Texas boogie and electric southern rock, performed by Jesse Dean & Co.
August 20 – Where else can you take part in an Enchanted Walk, serenaded by the gorgeous sounds of harp music by Beth Stockdell? This will be a special experience to explore.
August 27 – If your friendly pup loves to get out and about, the BGO welcomes all leashed dogs on this one night only for Dog Days of Summer Night. Owners must clean up any messes, and all pets are required to have up-to-date vaccinations.
