One of the most popular things to do in Northwest Arkansas is held in September and ends on the Fayetteville Historic Downtown Square.

Square 2 Square, a 30-mile bike ride on the Razorback Regional Greenway between Bentonville and Fayetteville, will be held Saturday, Sept. 16. The event is for anyone who likes to bike, support the local cycling scene or burn calories!

Green Candy is an art action aimed to create community conversations around waste and sustainability through interactive and participatory art.

Presented by Experience Fayetteville, this inaugural edition takes place in the heart of Historic Downtown Fayetteville and will activate public spaces with engaging art by international artists Bordalo (Portugal), Ernest Zacharevic (Lithuania), Bicicleta Sem Freio (Brazil) and Marina Zumi (São Paulo). As a result of an open request for proposals, notable Northwest Arkansas artists Gina Gallina and Jason Jones also will join the project lineup, creating site-specific public artwork.

The second annual Ladies DU Fayetteville, a duathlon for women of all ages, will be held Sunday, June 11, at Lake Fayetteville (Veterans Memorial Park).

The 15 mile race — 4 miles running, 11 miles biking — is part of the Fayetteville Race Series, which is made up of six to eight annual events that vary between running, cycling and multi-sport activities.
