With more than 180 festivals throughout the year, Fayetteville allows visitors to experience the city’s unique taste and culture.
The third annual Fayetteville Gumbo Cookoff will be held Saturday, March 17, at the Washington County Fairground.
The event will feature more than 30 gumbos competing to take home this year’s Peoples Choice trophy, as well as local craft beer and live music provided by Block Street Hot Club and Second Line Strings.
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, so Dickson Street in Fayetteville is sure to be extra exciting this weekend thanks to the 11th annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl.
On March 17, festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a kickoff at Hog Haus Brewing Co., where participants can pick up a “passport” that lists participating pubs, bars and watering holes.

Soldier ON Service Dogs presents its 2nd Annual Hero Tales Hangar Party fundraiser hosted by Jack and Angela Pestello. The event takes place at the Arkansas Air & Military Museum at Drake Field in Fayetteville on March 10th, from 6-11pm.
