With more than 180 festivals throughout the year, Fayetteville allows visitors to experience the city’s unique taste and culture.
The University of Arkansas School of Art is presenting a student exhibition through April 7 at the Walker Stone House. “Milk,” the thesis exhibition by Lindsey Heiden, is free and open to the public 6:30-8 p.m. April 5 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7.
A reception with the artist will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 5.
It’s darty season in Fayetteville! The annual Ales & Tails — an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil — will be held Saturday, April 7, at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The event is a fundraiser for our local furry friends at the Humane Society of the Ozarks, Lib Horn Animal Shelter and Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank.
The third annual Fayetteville Gumbo Cookoff will be held Saturday, March 17, at the Washington County Fairground.
The event will feature more than 30 gumbos competing to take home this year’s Peoples Choice trophy, as well as local craft beer and live music provided by Block Street Hot Club and Second Line Strings.
