With more than 180 festivals throughout the year, Fayetteville allows visitors to experience the city’s unique taste and culture.

Fayetteville and the surrounding Ozark hills are picturesque year-round, but with a little bit of distance between your feet and the ground, the view gets even more gorgeous. August 2019 will usher in an inaugural event to Northwest Arkansas, SOAR NWA—a spectacular celebration of hot air balloons and all kinds of aeronautics action.

The 2019 Fayetteville Roots Festival will be held Aug. 21-25 at several locations and live-music venues throughout Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas. Featured headliners include Mavis Staples, Hiss Golden Messenger, Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi and so many more.

A little summer swelter is no match for cross country bikers ready to take on some of the best riding in the Northwest Arkansas region at the Kessler Mountain Jam. Hosted by Fayetteville Parks & Recreation on Sunday, August 11 at Kessler Mountain Regional Park, this heart-pumping race is part of the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS) and is sanctioned by USA Cycling (USAC.)
