October, 2017

The Historic Downtown Square will be ground-zero on Sunday, October 1, for some of the best craft beers in Arkansas.

Oktoberfest, a family friendly event held in Fayetteville every fall, features craft beer and live music. It will be held 1-7 p.m. and is put on by the Arkansas Brewers Guild.

This year’s Oktoberfest will feature craft brews from 15 Arkansas breweries, including several partners of the Fayetteville Ale Trail. Live music will be performed by Handmade Moments, Yokohama Drifters and Henna Roso.

Admission is $10, which includes entry along with a 12 oz. commemorative sampling glass, two sampling tokens and access to the beer, art vendors, food trucks, a kid zone and other activities. (Don’t worry, additional sampling tokens will be available for $1 each.) Tickets for designated drivers and persons ages 18-20 are available for $5, and persons 17 and younger get in for free.

Participating Ale Trail breweries include: Apple Blossom Brewing Company, Bentonville Brewing Company, Columbus House Brewery, Core Brewing Company, Fossil Cove Brewing Co., New Province Brewing Company, Ozark Beer Company and Saddlebock Brewery.

Experience Fayetteville launched the Fayetteville Ale Trail – Arkansas’ first craft beer tasting adventure featuring only local breweries – in 2013. This self-guided craft beer tour gives visitors and locals alike a glimpse into the unique craft brewery culture of Northwest Arkansas. Participants can pick up a passport at participating locations, and then collect stamps at each brewery location. Since its inception, the Ale Trail has garnered national media attention and a helped spawn a boom in culinary tourism in the area.
