Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run 2021

Every season brings new ways to experience the fantastic trail network in Fayetteville, Arkansas and one of the best options to help shake off the inevitable January blues is the 6th Annual Frozen Toes 15K and 5K race on Saturday, January 23 at 9 a.m. Held on the Kessler Mountain Trails, this gorgeous course boasts some seriously awe-inspiring views of the Ozark Mountains and is a perfect option for runners who want to challenge themselves to transition from a 5K or 10K to a bit longer distance at 15K.

2021 is mixing things up a bit, so this event will offer both an in-person race and a week-long challenge registration option. The courses are the same, but the challenge option allows for runners to race any day of the week creating less foot traffic on the course. Both options require runners to be self-sufficient, meaning there will be no water stations along the course.

COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place to protect runners and the trail running community. Read the Race Safety Plan approved by ADH to learn more.

Race start and finish is at Kessler Mountain Regional Park, a 620-acre area in southwest Fayetteville that makes up one of the region’s most stunning nature preserves with pristine forest, open meadows and even scenic bluffs. The course features technical singletrack trail running, a welcome break for many from traditional pavement trails and the views are worth every step of the course whether it’s your first trail run or you are a seasoned pro.

Either option requires a $30 entry fee - but includes custom socks and finisher medals! $5 mailing fee - have your packet sent to you. To register for the race, sign up at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/recreation.
