Randy Noojin brings Woody Guthrie to life at the Faulkner Center On Saturday, May 5.
Hop on a boxcar through the Dustbowl with Woody Guthrie and commune with the spirit, stories and songs of America's iconic folksinger, saint-of-the-workingman and poet-of-the-people in Randy Noojin’s critically acclaimed, award-winning multimedia solo show ‘Hard Travelin with Woody’. Packed with Guthrie’s spirit, music and artworks, Noojin’s performance brings this tumultuous period of American history to life in an event that is both entertaining and culturally educational.
Originally performed at FringeNYC in 2011, ‘Hard Travelin with Woody’ has gone on to travel the country, just like Guthrie himself, and has drawn acclaim in venues both large and small.
Opening the evening will be University of Arkansas’ own Alisha Jones, starting at 7:30 p.m., with Noojin taking the stage at 8:15 p.m.
