In addition to the People's Choice award, winners for amateur and professional categories will be selected by a group of respectable judges. The gumbos will be judged based on color, aroma, consistency, taste and after taste.
The all-weather event begins at noon and lasts until 4 p.m. Tickets are $25, and a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Lib Horne Fayetteville Animal Shelter, The Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank and the Humane Society of the Ozarks. Children ages 10 and under get in free.
