Join us for our third annual World Labyrinth Day event!
Saturday, May 3rd from 12-2pm

Every year on the first Saturday in May, thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for world peace and a celebration of the labyrinth experience. Many “Walk as One at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next. As one of the few labyrinths in our area, we are honored to host this event as part of a worldwide movement.

Join us as we walk as one at 1pm. We will be hosting a drop-in Art Lab with labyrinth-inspired pinch pots and wall shelves from 11:30am-3:30pm for $20 a project. No registration is required.

A battle of wills ignites between a dogmatic nun and a priest suspected of sexual misconduct in “Doubt, A Parable,” John Patrick Shanley’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play about power, faith, and the cost of moral certitude. Featuring Kate Capdeville, Tim Gilster, Mary Maxwell, and Terry Vaughan. Directed by Juliette Robinson.

Tickets are FREE (donations accepted at the door/cash or check). All donations received at the Thursday, May 1 performance benefit Magdalene Serenity House. NO RESERVED SEATING/SMALL VENUE. First come, first served. Doors open 1 hour before each performance. Wine, chips, and cookies are available for sale before the show (cash only).

4th Annual Arkansas Pottery Festival

The Arkansas Pottery Festival returns for a fourth year to the Community Creative Center in downtown Fayetteville, the first weekend of May.

This annual event packs all things pottery into a 3-day weekend full of demonstrations, presentations, showcases, and sales - all of which is free and open to the public.

This exciting 3 day weekend will include pottery demonstrations and lectures by nationally recognized artists Brad Schwieger and Lorna Meaden on Friday and Saturday, an exhibition and pottery sale of over 50 potters from around the region, as well as a display of Masterworks from Private Collections. Saturday night, Kingfish Bar will be hosting the Potters After Party with a live band. Vendor booths will include the Clay Bank, the Museum of Native American History and the Arkansas Archeological Survey.

Locals love the handmade flowerpot fundraiser, with a wide selection of affordable handmade planters and locally grown plants. Get there early to purchase the perfect handmade planter, planted with a beautiful, complimentary flowering plant. A perfect Mother’s Day Gift!

"A Woman on the Outside" Film Screening and Discussion

In partnership with the U of A English Department, the library will host a screening of "A Woman on the Outside" followed by a virtual Q&A with Krystal Bush, the woman at the film's center.

A deeply American story about the legacy of mass incarceration. Kristal Bush, who has watched nearly every man in her life disappear into prison, channels her struggle into reuniting other Philadelphia families divided by the correctional system.
