Events under 'Kid-Friendly'

To conclude Fayetteville Tree Week, in conjunction with BGO’s Earth Day Market a City urban forester will lead five free, guided hikes at BGO on Saturday, April 26. The 1.06-mile loop trail hikes will accommodate approximately 20 participants each and run on a 45-minute schedule, starting near the BGO entrance off N. Crossover Road.

The hikes will head north on the Lake Fayetteville Trail, then turn south onto the Lake Fayetteville Natural Trail. Each will include a discussion about the local flora and fauna, and a stop at the site of the new Bird Blind.

Hike Times:
12:30-1:15 p.m.
1:30-2:15 p.m.
2:30-3:15 p.m.

3:40-4:10 p.m.
4:15-5 p.m.

Phantasma will create a world of wonder for all ages on THURSDAY and FRIDAY NIGHT, April 24 and 25. This multi-sensory installation is free to join, but we ask that you reserve your spot at your preferred time.

During your dedicated hour-long experience, you'll enjoy a mesmerizing laser light show and dance along with a silent disco surrounded by the beauty of the Lower Ramble. Three DJs curated by Her Set Her Sound will be on three different channels for you to choose a variety of sounds to dance to while the lights move around you. Headphones are provided, but not necessary to enjoy the light show and music.

Food and drink will be available for purchase at the Lower Ramble entrance on West Ave. You can also utilize the City's Open Refreshment Area (ORA) and grab an adult beverage at a nearby business beforehand to take with you to enjoy. 

AND NEW THIS YEAR!! On Saturday, April 26th, the lasers and DJs will move to the newly completed Upper Ramble for a totally different Phantasmic experience. This Glow Party will be from 7 to 10pm and is also free for all ages to participate. A lineup of DJs will be playing during the evening with dance music for everyone to enjoy under the flashing laser light show. No reservations required, open to all!

Ozark Ballet Theater's Snow White tells the timeless story of young Snow White, her 7 friends (dimunitive in size but certainly not in personality!) The evil queen, and the love of a prince!  Join us at The New School Auditorium with the whole family for this exciting performance!

Good Dog Cafe is now staring SMALL DOG SUNDAYS!

Every Sunday from 3:00-4:00! We will only allow small dogs into the park during this time frame! You are welcome to come a little early to maximize play time!
Get out and make some new friends for both you and your small doggos!
Regular admission for these events. $6 per dog with any purchase or $8 for just one dog and no other purchases. A waiver must be on file for each dog. Waivers can be signed at the register.
No set size limit, just any dogs considered to be smaller size. Dogs that would do best with other small dogs.
We do not allow children under 12 years old in the dog park, but they are welcome in the leashed area.
We will have kiddie pools out during the summer months.

Have your child join us on Monday, April 28th from 5:30-7:30 pm where they’ll make their own garden-fresh pizza and salad using ingredients harvested right from the Apple Seeds Teaching Farm.

This cooking class is perfect for kids aged 7–12 who love food, fun, and aren’t afraid to get a little flour on their sleeves. Whether they come with a sibling, buddy, or solo, they’ll leave with new friends, new skills, and possibly a new favorite veggie.
