An art-infused series of Friday evening “compact creativity festivals” that will take place in the Ramble. Kick off the weekend with a burst of creativity and fun! The WEST series is being held in conjunction with the University of Arkansas Department of Music.
Music performers will celebrate the musical diversity found at the university. Concerts will feature jazz trios, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music, Ozark ballads, classical ensembles, rock songs, medieval music and more!
Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere where they can unwind after a busy work week, enjoy strolling through the beautiful natural area and engage with their local arts community.
Weekend Starts is free and open to the public; all ages are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs. Arriving via the Razorback Greenway is encouraged. Parking for Upper Ramble events is available at the West Avenue Parking Deck and on-street parking along Dickson Street; parking for Lower Ramble events is available in the Fayetteville Public Library’s south surface lot and on-street parking along S. West Avenue.
The Ramble is within Fayetteville’s Outdoor Refreshment Area (ORA), allowing attendees to enjoy beverages from participating establishments within the designated zone, provided ORA guidelines are followed.
In the event of inclement weather, updates regarding cancellations or rescheduling will be provided on the City’s website. Attendees are encouraged to check for updates before heading to the event.

Lights of the Ozarks kicks off on the Friday before Thanksgiving, November 21, an event known as Light Night, with an energetic countdown and ceremonial flip of the giant switch at 6:00 p.m. followed by live music and merriment.
Lights of the Ozarks will continue to illuminate the Historic Square each evening from 5:00pm to 1:00am through January 1.
Along with the dazzling display of twinkle lights, you'll find a festive selection of seasonal activities, holiday music, winter treats, hot cocoa, and vendors on the Downtown Square each night during Lights of the Ozarks.
The Lights of the Ozarks Parade will wind through downtown Fayetteville on Thursday, December 4 starting at 6:30 p.m.
Around 50 floats and groups will progress along East Avenue, clockwise around the Square, and northward on Block Avenue.
After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available to greet visitors at Santa’s Workshop near the corner of Center Street and East Avenue.
Lights of the Ozarks, the longstanding holiday light display presented by Experience Fayetteville and the City of Fayetteville’s Department of Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs will continue through January 1, 2025, with lights shining each night on the Historic Downtown Fayetteville Square from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Join us for a fabulous addition to Lights of the Ozarks—the second annual Fayetteville Festivus! This frosty festival invites you to frolic in the heart of downtown Fayetteville as the square sparkles with plenty of winter magic, but this will NOT be your traditional holiday celebration!
Fayetteville Festivus is four events in one that will fill the streets with films, feasts, favours, and all the festive felicity your heart desires.
Also, visit with Santa at his workshop on the square and get a picture of Christmas magic in action.
