Kessler Mountain, a beloved natural landmark in Fayetteville renowned for its miles of hiking and biking trails, is set to receive a significant upgrade to its trailhead.
This project aims to extend the current trailhead north by approximately 400 feet to the intersection of MLK Jr. Blvd, Rupple Road, and Smokehouse Trail and is a crucial step in showcasing Kessler Mountain as a premier destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The new trailhead entrance will feature unique sculptures of a hiker and mountain biker in a beautifully landscaped green space, as well as new directional signs for the trail system. This enhancement will not only improve accessibility but also highlight the area's natural beauty and recreational offerings.
The first of many enhancements coming to Kessler Mountain will be ”Annie”, a stunning metal statue depicting a female hiker, and to celebrate her arrival, Kessler Mountain will be holding an unveiling event to welcome her.
The event will take place at 5:30 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, located at 1725 S. Smokehouse Trail in Fayetteville, AR.
Join us to celebrate this new landmark, meet "Annie", and learn about the future plans for Kessler Mountain.
