Kids are invited to visit various allergy-friendly trick-or-treat stations and play on the Gathering Glade with games and bounce houses. In the Youth Libraries, we will enjoy a special Halloween performance by the University of Arkansas Flute Ensemble.
It is Be(A)ware's fourth year at the library, but the sixth year overall. This event creates a fun, inclusive and safe space for all children, those who suffer from food allergies and those who don’t. Get your costume ready for this unique celebration!
The University of Arkansas Flute Ensemble is formed by members of the University of Arkansas Flute Studio and is currently performing around our community to share the beauty of diverse music composed and arranged specifically for flute ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ronda Mains and Prof. Catalina Ortega.

Adorners began as a project to bring new life Arkansas ghost stories. Trevor Bates and Candice Sisemore began their research into regional haunts in early 2023. They brought in artist and story-curator, Caroline Millar, for her expertise in Arkansas folklore. Before long, they had eight stories from different Arkansas regions and set about putting the stories to music.
The songs use the stories to explore the macabre specifics of the subject matter, but also the familiar emotions that the players in the stories are feeling. It becomes clear that the experiences of the story players are relatable to our current-day selves. Feelings of longing, terror, loss and even humor are explored and ever present.
Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations like never seen before in Fayetteville.
