Our city’s enthusiasm for sports goes beyond college team spirit, too – we’re home to the NWA Roller Derby, a World Championship Cyclocross course, and a disc golfer’s paradise. Wherever and whatever you want to play, we can help you find it in Fayetteville!

Razorback fans of and visitors to the University of Arkansas have the opportunity to attend sporting events year-round, as the school currently fields 19 total varsity teams — eight men’s and 11 women’s — in 11 sports. The men’s varsity sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and of course, football; the women’s varsity sports include basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, indoor and outdoor track and field, swimming and diving, tennis, softball and volleyball.

Staying for a while? Fayetteville Parks and Recreation offers Adult Sport options in kickball, volleyball, soccer, and slow pitch softball. Youth leagues are available for fast pitch softball and soccer!

NCAA Super Regional in Fayetteville

Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team are hosting an NCAA Super Regional as part of the 2018 NCAA Tournament to reach the College World Series. The “Diamond Hogs” and University of South Carolina will battle it out over the weekend (June 9-11) for a trip to Omaha, Nebraska. Whether you’re coming to town to root, root, root for the Hogs or Gamecocks, there a lot of other things to do while you’re here in Northwest Arkansas, so make sure to make the most out of your trip to Fayetteville.

Northwest Arkansas Roller Derby

Looking for something new to do in Northwest Arkansas? Catch a NWA Roller Derby game and you won't be bored! Roller derby is a completely unique, high-impact sport that is known for being totally inclusive of age, gender, nationality and background. It consists of two teams of five players roller skating around a track trying to get a designated team member (the "jammer") to lap members of the opposing team.

What to do while in Fayetteville for the NCAA Regional Baseball Tournament

Date: June 2-5 The University of Arkansas Razorbacks are hosting one of the NCAA Regional Tournaments in Fayetteville this coming weekend as part of the Division I Baseball Championship. Missouri State University, Oklahoma State University and Oral Roberts University will be coming to town to compete against the Hogs for a spot in the College World Series in Omaha. With each team guaranteed to play both Friday and Saturday, and possibly Sunday and Monday, many fans will be staying in Fayetteville until their team’s season ends — or until they head to the Super Regionals June 9-12.
