July 5-7, 2024
Fayetteville Movement Festival is a full weekend of dance, yoga, and art in a mountaintop retreat setting on Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville. The mission of the festival is to bring together community members making positive changes in the world of dance, yoga, therapy, art, performance art, and improvisation.
Fayetteville Movement Festival bridges communities to share resiliency strategies and to nurture creativity within. Co-creating the positive changes we wish to see in this world takes curiosity, courage, and connections from all angles. Fayetteville Movement Festival hopes to inspire movements that catalyze these changes.
Classes are composed of a combination of dance, yoga, functional movement, and deep relaxation. In addition to Latin dance, cardio groove, contemporary, and jazz, the schedule also includes activities like hiking, skating, bird watching, and ice baths. Whatever your body needs, this festival has cultivated a sequence of classes and spaces to keep you feeling refreshed and to feed your mind and spirit, too.
This year's event will support Canopy NWA and their mission to create a community where refugees are welcomed and equipped with all they need to build new lives.
