With more than 180 festivals throughout the year, Fayetteville allows visitors to experience the city’s unique taste and culture.

The Walton Arts Center opens their 2017/18 Broadway Series with a production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s musical “The King and I” Oct. 3-8. The popular series brings some of the most heralded theatrical productions in the world to Fayetteville.

The Historic Downtown Square will be ground-zero on Sunday, October 1, for some of the best craft beers in Arkansas.

Oktoberfest, a family friendly event held in Fayetteville every fall, features craft beer and live music. It will be held 1-7 p.m. and is put on by the Arkansas Brewers Guild.

“The biggest startup party of the year” will be held in downtown Fayetteville on Friday, Sept. 29, and people will have a chance to meet entrepreneurs from several of Fayetteville’s up-and-coming new businesses while drinking some of the areas best craft beers and enjoying live music.

Visitors to Fayetteville will have a chance to experience history and fly in World War II airplanes when the Arkansas Air & Military Museum hosts the CAF AirPower History Tour later this month.

From Thursday, Sept. 20, through Sunday, Sept. 24, the Air & Military Museum, located at 4290 S. School Ave. in Fayetteville, will be the home to classic aircraft such as the B-29 Superfortress “FIFI,” P-51 Mustang “Gunfighter,” C-45 Expeditor “Bucket of Bolts,” a Boeing Stearman and Beechcraft T-34 Mentor.

One weekend each fall, Dickson Street starts to rumble as motorcycle descend upon Fayetteville for Bikes, Blues &BBQ. The annual festival began in 2000 as a charity poker run event with more than 200 riders, and the event has grown rapidly through the years. In 2015, more than 400,000 people attended the rally from all over America. The festival isn’t only for those riding in on two wheels – there’s also the official Arkansas State BBQ Championship, live music and plenty of vendors.
