Police officers and firefighters are certainly brave, but the ones battling it out at Bring the Heat on Dec. 8 might be a little crazy, too.

Starting at 4 p.m. at Whataburger, 4030 N. College Ave., teams from the Fayetteville Fire Department and Fayetteville Police Department will battle it out in a jalapeño-eating contest for a good cause. Members from each team will compete against one another to see who can consume the most jalapeños in 60 seconds.
